Honoring everything that makes you who you are.
A therapist for individuals and partners healing from trauma, exploring the strengths of neurodiversity, and finding authenticity in their sexuality.

Hi there :) I'm Emily, a therapist for people holding it together at the seams. I get it. I've been there too.
As a therapist, I know what it's like to be a client and question what you can bring into the room. To wonder whether you're going to have to dump your therapist when they say they're LGBTQ-friendly but you get the impression that means they just like Queer Eye.When they talk about neurodivergence like it's your job to bend yourself into a pretzel to fit the world around you. When they tell you they're accepting but they have so many questions about your tarot practice that you can't help wondering what they're really asking. When they tell you they want to make a safety plan over the bruises you asked for at that party on Saturday night.I want you to never have to wonder what you can bring into the room with me. Your dreams, your fears, the things you love. My clinical practice is body- and sex-positive, poly- and kink-affirming. You are welcome here :)

Therapy In a Thimble
Why a thimble? A thimble is a protective object that wards off injury. One we remove to become vulnerable. An object to mend with.
“As I bite into the banana bread, I realize if all around me is the evidence of what happens without my asking, doesn’t that mean that there’s possibility for more?A more trusting love where I could let myself ask for things, let myself be vulnerable and imperfect and even dispensable? A more magnanimous, forgiving kind of love where sometimes people give me what I ask for and sometimes they don’t and it’s okay?
Where it’s okay to be disappointed and it’s okay to be disappointing—where we can love each other and ourselves regardless?”
